Metamorphoses

It seemed like it would never end, but I have reached the last day of my 14 day workspree. When you love your job, it's not a problem to work for days on end without break, but a morning of sleeping in is worth gold too.

For this shoot I woke up early again, with a long drive ahead of me. As with most jobs with Bart, I had no idea what this job would entail. Usually I don't take jobs without knowing the details, but with Bart it is different. We have worked together many times before and every time is a total surprise and great fun. It's a totally different way of working, because his photography is mainly about story telling. He will have envisioned his entire photo beforehand, thinking up crazy sets, adding atmosphere with smoke machines, lights and coloured gels. But the most important part are the models, as they are more actors than models. To my surprise this job included body paint (so there were a few hours of standing still included) and a simple white background (which is very unusual for Bart's work).

For this particular shoot, Bart worked around the story of Morpheus and Iris. My co-model was stage artist Yon Costes. We were posing laying down on a white background with the camera hanging above us. It may not seem like it from my work, but I am physically not very flexible, so this pose was hard for me. On top of that, we had to hold the general pose for quite a long time, adding small variations in hands and expression. After 20min my right arm fell asleep from being in this weird angle for too long. Luckily we had the shot and it looks amazing!
You can visit Bart's exhibition until May 24th. More info on www.bartramakers.com/exhibitions

The toy collector

Another amazing day working with Bart Ramakers kicks of 10 days of non-stop working. Although working 10 days in a row is not unusual, doing this in 3 different countries is for me. It means getting on a plane, shooting the same day and on to the next. It is stamped with amazing and exciting projects and I'm looking forward to each and every one of them!

As usual I went into the shoot without knowing the details for Bart's new project, but as soon as I arrived at the location I could tell it would be story telling at it's best with another highly detailed shot.

We had a few minutes spare in between set decoration and make up, so we came up with another shot called "War games", about the war against female nudity and liberty on social media.

Ladies of Boulevard Leopold

Last weekend I was honored to join Zoi Morgan's "Ladies at the Mansion" event in Antwerp for a fabulous shootday with extraordinary styling.
I had a great time with co-models Zoi, Ivory Flame and Mischkah Scott and the participants. There is something about Zoi's events that attracts like-minded creatives for a relaxed day and lots of stunning images.

On Stage: William De Ridder for Paul Mitchel

Did another show for William De Ridder. I love being on stage, especially for William. Although you have to wait long before the actual show - which is completely normal - the atmosphere backstage is always good, styling is great and hair is styled into perfection. What more do you want?
Here are some backstage shots, waiting to get dressed and waiting to get on stage.

On Stage: Hair Style 2017

I was onstage again for William De Ridder for Paul Mitchel. William decided to show off the pink hairdo you could see in "Pink Love" on the big stage during a spectacular show in the De Ridder tradition.

Small video of the beginning of the show. You can see the 3 collection models in the middle of the stage and then me coming in from the left, doing my walk.

On Stage: Pink Love

I have a new hair colour for the next 8 days! I'm one of the presentation models for the launch of the new POP XG collection by Paul Mitchell, with William De Ridder as spokesperson for the Belgian branch. This beautiful hairdo was designed and executed by William De Ridder, make up by Chris Del Anno.
I now have pink hair for Valentine 💕

As the predictable workaholic that I am, I am working this Christmas.
Dancing for All Area Events. How do you like my outfit?

Minnie and frills

Earlier this week I shot with Robbert Poel. We had shot before during a workshop a few years ago, but now it was time to do our own thing.

Pastel Love

Last week I worked with RV Photography again. Haircut and colour was provided by William De Ridder and hairstyling and make up was done by Tina Calzetta. I'm wearing 2 outfits from my selfmade Candy Pop collection. So in love with these photos!

On Stage: Marula Oil Event

I was on stage for William De Ridder at the Marula Oil Event.

I designed and created 3 collections for this show, a silver evening wear collection (that is still nameless at the moment), a snakeskin sportive collection (based on the Hadopelagic collection) and the Signature collection.
Watch the video bellow for behind the scenes and on stage material.

22 March 2016

A few weeks ago I worked with photographer Eva Wijnant and MUALeyla Van Hassel on a series of art nude photos. After yesterday's horrible events at Zaventem Airport and Brussels, today seems like the right day to share this set with you. The emotions shown in the photos portay what happened so perfectly.

Some photos were selected by and published on the website of Vogue Italy.

Acting: Scum

I landed a part in the new Belgian movie "Scum" (or "Uitschot" in Dutch). It's the second movie from the Crimi Clowns series. You will have to wait for the premiere in October 2016 to know more about the story, but I can tell you that my character is badass!

Until then, enjoy these behind the scenes foto's and selfies.
First day on set:

This is how I look when I'm in make up. Very glamorous, right?

The cabin

The location for my shoot with Ronald Cools was a cute cabin by Styling10. It was beautifully decorated, with nice windows that let in soft, natural light. Here's one of the behind the scenes shots to give you an idea of how stunning the location was.

We only used available light for this shoot, which worked nicely with the theme we were shooting. Soft colours, frilly lingerie and messy curls. I did my own make up and styling.

NYE 2015

My last days of 2015 were an amazing closure to an amazing year. My year ended with a short shoot after which I hosted and gogo danced my way into 2016 at the closing night of Sun Studio. So sad they are closing, I always enjoyed working with them!
