On Stage: Pink Love

I have a new hair colour for the next 8 days! I'm one of the presentation models for the launch of the new POP XG collection by Paul Mitchell, with William De Ridder as spokesperson for the Belgian branch. This beautiful hairdo was designed and executed by William De Ridder, make up by Chris Del Anno.
I now have pink hair for Valentine 💕

Italian alps and The Black Holes Project

A new year has started and the best way to start the new year, is to dive right in. Right into 30cm of snow in the Italian Alps that is.
I was booked with 2 other models by Julien Sunye for his art project about World War I and II. We flew in to Munich, took a taxi to the Italian Alps and started our 2hour hike to the location after a very short night of sleep.

When we reached the top, we could see what was so special about this location. A long lint of anti-tank pins stood strong in the freezing mist. By the time we were ready to undress and start shooting, an icy wind rose to make working conditions even harder. Our shoot lasted exactly 1min30, but nevertheless we got 2 amazing photos for the project!

An Ibiza workweek

Day 1
Late arrival at the little house where I will be spending the next week in the middle of nowhere, chasing beautiful locations, creating art.

Day 2
Full day shooting and relaxing at the house and swimming pool. It's sooooo beautiful!

Day 3
Getting up before sunrise to shoot with the rising sun above the Mediterranean Sea.
Best thing about life on an island? We ended the day like we started it, with the sun low above the ocean.

Day 4
We're getting up early again to shoot with the morning light. Not sunrise this time, but the soft morning light.

As the sun is climbing higher, we're using the harsher light for underwater photography in this beautiful bay.

Some afternoon fun with watermelon. Sweet and refreshing.

Evening walk to Atlantis, enjoying our last evening on the island. This place was so amazing. Almost impossible to show on photos. If you're up for the climb down and afterwards up again, you should definitely check it out!

Day 5
Time to return home!

NYE 2015

My last days of 2015 were an amazing closure to an amazing year. My year ended with a short shoot after which I hosted and gogo danced my way into 2016 at the closing night of Sun Studio. So sad they are closing, I always enjoyed working with them!

Adamant Amazones

Adamant Amazones is a project by Bart Ramakers about strong women. Red line through the series are vintage and rare cars. There will be a calendar and exhibition about this project.

Opening image of the calendar is an image shot during a previous shoot in a Tesla.

For the first set I was a stylish jewel thieve, wearing a long, black glitter dress. There was no image selected from this set for the calendar as only one image per type of car can be in the calendar. Bart chose an image from the second set for the Mercedes 190SL.

In the second set I was a spy, spending all her time in her car, listening for sensitive information. I'm wearing a wig by Insomnium Wigs.

See the video of the project here:

On tour: London - the wishlist edition

Did a small trip to London last week. Most of it was just vacation and sight-seeing, but I did a few shoots too - of course, because I'm a workaholic like that. :p

Going out in London! I am so proud of the way my make up turned out here, that I really wanted to show you! I guess this is my new favorite selfie. ^_^

I was happy to be able to work with Richard Pryde - who happened to be traveling in Europe - with styling by Linda Friesen Couture. I love this dress so much! We wanted to shoot at the Highgate Cemetery, but apparently that's not allowed. We had to sneak the styling in and only had about 15 minutes before closing time. Nevertheless, this came out of the camera! <3

After talking on the internet regularly and postponing my last trip, Luci Alice and I finally managed to shoot together. Yay! ^_^ We shot some awesome dresses by Pandora Deluxe Latex and a bodysuit by Slaughterhouse Couture combined with a top by Kaori's Latex Dreams. We must have worked hard and fast, because we managed to shoot 4 dresses in 10 different sets, in a total of 4hours, changing secretly in a public place included. I love how each set has it's own unique feel to it and looks nothing like the other sets! Can't show you more than these 4 Back of Camera's, because the rest of them are up for publication. :)

Update can be found here!

On tour: Chicago

Day 1 (Thursday 19)
A lot of "getting" was done.
Getting up early. Getting on a plane to Chicago, Illinois. Getting from the airport to the hotel. Getting into bed.

Day 2 (Friday 20)
I am very much jet lagged at the moment, so I woke up at 6am local time, which was fine because we had to get to the venue by 8am to prepare for the show on Sunday. The 'Candy Pop' collection will be on the big stage, headlining on Sunday at the "America's Beauty" fair. Lot's of dying, washing and brushing my hair until it looked perfect again. We also had rehearsals today and I must say that the choreography looks smashing!

Day 3 (Saturday 21)
All models have a day off today, so we went shopping. Bought some cool tops and fell in love with Frozen merchandise at the Disney Store. I just might go back there and buy everything Frozen related they have.

Day 4 (Sunday 22)
The day of the big show. It was a stressy day, but we did well. I was so nervous, you wouldn't believe it, but we nailed the choreography and poses on stage.
Lot's of people wanted to take photographs and touch our hair when we walked around on the fair.

After the show and fair, Sara and I had our first shoot in Chicago. Photographer was Dallas Brown, who works mainly with film and polaroids. This was my first real shoot with Polaroids, so it was an exciting experience. Great way to really get this modeling trip started!

Day 5 (Monday 23)
Woke up early again to a snowy Chicago. It's so pretty but so cold!

Today I had to model at a workshop with William De Ridder. In the afternoon Sara and I were supposed to shoot with a local photographer. He messaged us that he had left home for our hotel, but he never showed up. No message so far as to why he stood us up. I hate no-shows!

Day 6 (Tuesday 24)
Last day at the Sheraton Hotel. We slept in and checked out right on time. Went for some more shopping - I bought 3 really cute panties at Victoria's Secret in bright colours. I really need more bright colours in my wardrobe in stead of the usual black.

After a very bumpy taxi drive to our new hostel, we arrived well and settled in our new room.

Day 7 (Wednesday 25) - Day 11 (Sunday 29)
I have a few days off now (thanks to more cancelations, wth is wrong with this place? -_- ) to do some tourist stuff and more shopping. Yay! Always look on the bright side, I guess. :D

Let's start with going to the movies. Cinderella it is! My first time in an American movie theater. It's a little different from what we're used to in Belgium. No subtitles, beautifully decorated theater hall and the system to buy snacks is more complicated.

Because I haven't talked enough about food yet, here are some more food pictures of the FODMAP friendly food I prepared:

Day 12 (Monday 30)
Video shoot time! Stoptime 341 Productions.

Day 13 (Tuesday 31)
We had a shoot with Emspace, that was absolutely amazing. I love the way he uses light to create art.

Day 14 (Wednesday 1)
Time to pack our stuff and fly home! In retrospect, in Europe I never had this many cancelations and flakes in a whole year, as I had here in one week, but had a great time nevertheless. I enjoyed seeing more of the city in stead of working all the time. Bye Bye Chicago! Thank you for giving me a great time!
