The toy collector

Another amazing day working with Bart Ramakers kicks of 10 days of non-stop working. Although working 10 days in a row is not unusual, doing this in 3 different countries is for me. It means getting on a plane, shooting the same day and on to the next. It is stamped with amazing and exciting projects and I'm looking forward to each and every one of them!

As usual I went into the shoot without knowing the details for Bart's new project, but as soon as I arrived at the location I could tell it would be story telling at it's best with another highly detailed shot.
MUA: Rania Visagiste

We had a few minutes spare in between set decoration and make up, so we came up with another shot called "War games", about the war against female nudity and liberty on social media.

En Vogue

After our third edition of the "Monochrome" workshop, Bruno and I decided to start preparing a new workshop that he names "En Vogue". It will be a fashion workshop where I get to do both crazy poses and hang around pretending to be bored.

Here's a preview of what we will be working on during the workshop!

On tour: Germany & Switzerland tour

Day 1: Neurenberg, Germany

Shot a set on location with Gert O Photo.

Day 2: Munich, Germany

I can share a few BOCs of my shoot with Akinari Yakomoto. We shot art nude, vintage lingerie and latex on location.

Second shoot of the day was with Armin Reinhardt. We started with a black and white beauty set and ended with blade-runner inspired portraits. So cool to do! I could play around with the tube lights and light myself with it.

Day 3: Sankt Gallen, Swittzerland

Got the chance to shoot at this wonderful location with Donnerstern, an old villa in the center of Sankt Gallen, which will also be where I spend the night.

Day 4: Amriswil, Switzerland

Next up was Bruno Birkhoffer, who has been on my "want to shoot with" list for a few years. We shot portraits, art nude, a commercial set for Filanea jewelry and fashion. It was so nice to work with him. He is very nice and professional and had all these great ideas! I loved shooting in the hammock as well, it was definitely challenging and probably not very elegant in between poses, but really amazing what you can do with something so simple. It created opportunity to try out new and crazy poses, things that are impossible when posing while standing. I love how it turned out!

Minnie and frills

Earlier this week I shot with Robbert Poel. We had shot before during a workshop a few years ago, but now it was time to do our own thing.

Berlin Blitz and Brutalism

Went on a blitz visit to Berlin to work with Yoram Roth. I had a wonderful time on set with the team and my co-models Noemi Kappel and Roarie Yum. Results are going to be awesome!

Publication: Gold Lust

I have a cover, interview and spread in this months Kirameki Mag issue. :D

I got the opportunity to give an interview for this magazine, so we shot an editorial to go along with the interview. The theme was "Gold Lust". Photographer of service was Kirsten Thys van den Audenaerde and Maria Kleopatra provided make up and styling on set. We got gold lingerie to shoot from luxe brand La Chaton Bottée and I made a headpiece with golden flowers and branches for Noire.

This is how you end up on the cover when you were only promised an interview:
Somewhere along the shoot, we worked on beauty portraits with gold jewelry. We wanted to do something different with the jewelry, so Maria Kleopatra arranged the jewelry around my face. Because expression is key for head shots, I decided to jokingly stick out my tongue and lick the jewelry so it wouldn't be in front of my eyes anymore. It's not something I really thought about. It just happened. It just happened to look really cool too. Off course, Kirsten - being amazing as she is - delivered this photo perfectly and there it was, our cover photo.

We did quite a lot of sets, I think about 7 or 8. Apparently Kirameki Mag liked them so much that they did not only give us the interview and the cover, but also an 8 pages spread. I am over the moon! ^_^

Workshop: Decay

A few weeks back, I modelled for the "DECAY" workshop by Gunther Frans in Liège. We were shooting in an old, abandoned fort. The location was perfect, but the weather was terrible. It was cloudy and very cold (4°C). I had to get warm again between every set. Nevertheless I had a blast!

We did a steampunk set first. I was a bit reluctant at first, because I had seen so many beautiful steampunk outfits and I thought mine would never be as beautiful. So I tried to give it more of a fashion vibe. I'm pleased with the result.

The last set was a set with a big dress and lots of baby powder. We made the dresses then and there with big cloths and a corset. We had 3 people throwing baby powder from the top to create a dreamy fog (I smelled like baby for a week) It was terribly cold, but it was all worth it! The result looks stunning!

Photographer of all photos in this blog is Gunther Frans, MUA is Eline Van Gils.

Octopus

I don't like seafood. I don't like the taste, I don't like the smell, I don't like how we're destroying our oceans to get seafood. So what a challenge it was to shoot with a real octopus! It was dead of course, once in a while they get caught up in the fishing nets and die. We had to cook it so it would stiffen up.

Then... they put it on my head. It felt cold, slimy and liquid kept dripping strait into my cleavage. It also kept shifting, so not easy to pose with. They tried pinning it to my head but that didn't really work. As a finishing then they put Avage Sirup on top of it, getting in my eyes, nose, mouth... It was disgusting!
You might not believe it, but I loved this shoot!
