Workshop: Decay

A few weeks back, I modelled for the "DECAY" workshop by Gunther Frans in Liège. We were shooting in an old, abandoned fort. The location was perfect, but the weather was terrible. It was cloudy and very cold (4°C). I had to get warm again between every set. Nevertheless I had a blast!

We did a steampunk set first. I was a bit reluctant at first, because I had seen so many beautiful steampunk outfits and I thought mine would never be as beautiful. So I tried to give it more of a fashion vibe. I'm pleased with the result.

The last set was a set with a big dress and lots of baby powder. We made the dresses then and there with big cloths and a corset. We had 3 people throwing baby powder from the top to create a dreamy fog (I smelled like baby for a week) It was terribly cold, but it was all worth it! The result looks stunning!

I'm published in Jute Magazine :)

Kirsten Thys van den Audenaerde was the photographer and Maria Kleopatra did make up, hair and styling. The shoot was so much fun! I always enjoy working with Kirsten and Maria is so talented! ^_^

Publication: Into the woods

A few months back I had a shoot with my two wolves for Noire. Last week they got published in Guiseppina Magazine. Buy your copy here. :)

I had a fun day with Kirsten Thys van den Audenaerde and Sandrine Coutelier, although posing with animals is not easy. The dogs got bored of just sitting around, while people were making clicking sounds and calling their name so they would look up. Dog treats were no help, because it just made them obsessed with finding the cookies.

Here are a few of the tearsheets:

Dark beauty

I had a lovely shoot with Gunther Frans and Eline Van Gils a few weeks back. We worked on beauty portraits, but gave it a dark twist. My favorite kind <3

I got to make all kind of faces, which I love to do. It's so much fun to experiment with different expressions.

Elegant Curiosities

I was so proud that I was asked to model this beautiful headpiece from Elegant Curiosities. They create such incredible jewelry and accessories.

Photography and make up was by Paige Addams. I love working with her. She has a simular creative mindset; fashion with a dark touch. I'm wearing a wig that I bought in London. It's very close to my natural haircolour and the haircut I used to have. This shoot took me back to my goth roots as a model. ^^

This set was shot at my place, in my sewing room. The background is a simple fury plaid. Unbelievable what incredible things you can do, with so little. Especially with a photographer and styling this great <3

On tour: Sweden's East to West

Ofcourse I planned my Sweden tour right in the midel of a heatwave, by car and without airconditioning!
So best way to start this trip is with a fine art shoot at the Swedish lakes.

Publication: Wicked Queen

Publication time! :)

A few months back we worked on a new editorial series for Kirameki Mag. It was a long day of set building, shooting and set cleaning, but is was totally worth it!

Me and Kirsten went to the Boutique Minuit shop in Brussels the weekend before to pick out and fit the styling. It's a very nice shop where you can find everything from sensual lingerie up to fetish outfits and accessories. I almost ended up buying all their shoes!

The next weekend it was shooting time! The 'Black Amethyst' wig by Insomnium Wigs arrived right on time by mail. We started early to build the set, which turned out exactly the way I had imagined it. Including cranberry juice in a vintage-looking bottle, small animal bones and dried flowers. Getting make up done wasn't an easy job because we were still out in the forest, but MUA Djenien did a wonderful job.

Can you imagine a girl running around the forest in 7inch heels, trying to look wicked and queen-like? Well, I can promise you it's a good work out for your leg muscles, because you simply can't relax without sinking your heels all the way in the ground.

Yerbury and Paris Boudoir

I went to Paris last week to shoot with Kitty and Bruno Cohen, and Faye and Trevor Yerbury. We stayed over in Kitty and Bruno's house, which was lovely. Kitty is a very good hostess and the house was beautiful and full of possibilities.

After a short break (me and my husband had been driving all morning), we started with some lingerie shots in the basement studio, which was very interesting because of the beautiful stairway. They also had the entire studio covered in white vinyl, which gives this nice glow.

Next we tried some underwater photography in the pool. Luckily I had practice because it is not an easy thing. I love this shot! <3 For more, check the Paris Boudoir Photographers' Facebook page.

I had my haircolour changed to ash blonde the day before, which was perfect for a twenties styling. Faye professionally finger waved my hair and did an excellent job on the make up. Here are al the SFW photos I got so far. Then we went outside and I got to pose with Titi. He wasn't a very patient model, but luckily I had patience for both of us. He is very sweet and beautiful though. ^^

We started walking around the garden and bumped into this egg-shaped chair which was very versatile, but not everything we did was SFW. Make sure to check Trevor's Facebook timeline for more ;)

When we returned to the house, I threw Kitty's silk robe on and curled up on the ice bear pelt on the couch. You'd think that ice bear skin would be softer, but it is quite rough. Kitty had told me that morning that the ice bear used to be in the zoo and died of old age. She got it from the zoo's museum when they no longer needed it. You must admit that it looks beautiful! I love how every shot looks so different but is still the same.
