Malaga, Spain (pt. 1)

This must have been one of the best weeks in my life! I spent the week working daily on the most beautiful locations in and around Malaga, Spain.

Day 1

Day 2
We shot an editorial and fashion video at this amazing Geodesik Dome-tent. I can already share one image from the editorial, but that's it. The rest needs to stay a secret! Shhht!

The view from the dome's window was amazing! It was so nice to stay here and relax to view the sunset in between shots. I am so blessed that I am able to live my life this way!

Day 3
Beautiful finds on the beach:

On Stage: Manuel Albarran

Remember the Maleficent movie? Meet the designer who created part of the outfits! I had the honor to be on stage for Manuel Albarran at Wasteland Party.

Adamant Amazones

Adamant Amazones is a project by Bart Ramakers about strong women. Red line through the series are vintage and rare cars. There will be a calendar and exhibition about this project.

Opening image of the calendar is an image shot during a previous shoot in a Tesla.

For the first set I was a stylish jewel thieve, wearing a long, black glitter dress. There was no image selected from this set for the calendar as only one image per type of car can be in the calendar. Bart chose an image from the second set for the Mercedes 190SL.

In the second set I was a spy, spending all her time in her car, listening for sensitive information. I'm wearing a wig by Insomnium Wigs.

See the video of the project here:

Publication: Signature

Let me present to you, The Signature Collection. I designed and created 3 silhouettes for William De Ridder's fall/winter hair collection. I got some beautiful beauty shots for his collection, but wanted to show more of my outfits. So here are the results from my shoot with Mew-Chiel, showing off the entire design. Special thanks to Lara Aimée for the beautiful edits! <3

Observant readers will notice that the designs wear a close resemblance to the dress I showed in my "Bodybinds and other new designs" blogpost. That's because I reworked the original dress into the second dress you can see here. I started on the dress a few years ago, but never quite decided on the details, until I started working on this collection.

The editorial is published in Kirameki Mag, get your copy here.
They misspelled my name again, that's two in a row. Third one buys me a beer!

Silk, wetlook spandex and crocheted lace are the main fabrics used. Boy did I sweat on the silk! It looks so gorgeous when finished, but it was one of the most difficult fabrics I ever worked with, because it's so light and flowy. Cutting a straight line was nearly impossible! Makes me extra happy to see the results! ^_^

Workshop: Aerial Hoop in Stuttgart

I have some pretty amazing news; I am now fully booked until January 2016! :D
Currently taking bookings and requests for January and it's already filling up rather fast! I am so happy about this. The time and work to be done to be able to stand in front of the camera must not be underestimated and can sometimes be rather stressful. Keep in mind that what you read here is not the only thing that I do. I do a lot more shoots and side projects that I don't write about here.

Exciting things that are coming up for winter 2015 is a trip to The Netherlands, a trip to Spain and a few super secret projects I will definitely write about as soon as I'm allowed! Stay tuned!

In other news, I went on my long-announced Stuttgart trip last week, where I mainly modeled for Brian Cann's workshop. He ordered an aerial hoop for the occasion and I had a wonderful (and quite frequently silly) time doing acrobatics and pretending to know what I was doing. I love challenging modeling jobs like this, they are my favorite type of work at the moment!

Lingerie shenanigans

Shot another lingerie set earlier this week with Meredith Thorina Juliana. I don't know what it is, but there's something about shooting lingerie with female photographers that I really like.

Budapest adventure

Last week I took some time off to visit one of my best friends, who lives in the capital of Hungary. Budapest is one of my favorite cities in the world! Being the workaholic that I am, I still managed to squeeze in a shoot or two while I was there.

It's all about location scouting:

Results from my first shoot with Mew-Chiel:

And from my second shoot with Mew-Chiel, a bit more colourfull this time ^_^

I will spare you the photos I took of Michiel eating a Hamburger after our shoot, shouting "trolleybus" every 5 seconds, but instead want to share a more touristic impression of my trip. I love taking photographs, but avoid being in them myself. I don't like those typical tourist photos with selfie sticks - no Michiel, you will not be able to convince me otherwise! :D I only had my phone with me on this trip because I had to choose between my camera and lenses, or styling for my shoots.

This is her, my best friend and host for the week <3

Goddess Collection by Imke Pauwels

A few weeks back I shot with Sarina Mannaert for Imke Pauwels' "Goddess" collection.  Sarina delivers the total package. She starts with make up, creates beautiful photos and does excellent post-process work. Imke designed the most beautiful outfits, the design was simple and sophisticated, they were really comfortable and the detail was amazing. I enjoyed working on this project so much!
